At Connected Voices LLC, we provide individualized, evidence-based speech-language therapy designed to help children, adolescents, and adults develop meaningful communication skills.
Whether the goal is improving speech clarity, strengthening language abilities, developing social communication skills, or building confidence, therapy is tailored to each individual's strengths, needs, and personal goals.
Individual Speech-Language Therapy
Individual therapy provides personalized, one-on-one support targeting specific speech, language, and communication needs.
Areas of intervention may include:
- Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders: Improving speech sound production and overall intelligibility.
- Receptive and Expressive Language: Strengthening the ability to understand language and express thoughts and ideas, including vocabulary development, sentence formulation, and language comprehension.
- Fluency and Stuttering: Teaching individuals how to effectively implement fluency strategies, building communication confidence, and reducing the impact of stuttering on everyday communication.
- Cognitive-Communication Skills: Supporting memory, attention, organization, problem-solving, and functional communication.
- Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary Development: Strengthening language-based skills needed to understand, interpret, and discuss written information.
- Social Communication: Supporting conversation skills, self-advocacy, perspective-taking, and meaningful interactions with others.
Therapy is individualized to promote practical skills that carry over into everyday situations.
Small-Group Speech-Language Therapy
Our small-group therapy sessions provide opportunities for individuals to develop and practice communication skills in a supportive, interactive environment.
Group therapy options may include:
- Articulation Groups: Improving speech sound production and intelligibility through structured practice and interactive activities.
- Language Groups: Strengthening receptive and expressive language skills, including vocabulary, sentence formulation, language comprehension, and verbal expression.
- Social Communication Groups: Supporting conversational skills, self-advocacy, perspective-taking, and meaningful interactions using a neurodiversity-affirming approach that respects individual communication styles.
- Fluency Groups: Providing opportunities to practice fluency strategies, build communication confidence, and share experiences with others who stutter. Fluency groups may be offered based on sufficient interest and enrollment.
Groups are organized based on age, communication needs, therapy goals, and appropriate participant groupings.
Group availability is dependent on enrollment, with a minimum of two and a maximum of four participants per group.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
AAC services support individuals who benefit from additional or alternative ways to communicate.
Services include AAC device programming, vocabulary customization, and individualized therapy to help clients use their communication systems effectively.
We focus on helping individuals express their needs, share ideas, participate in daily activities, and communicate with greater independence.
When a comprehensive AAC evaluation or new device selection is needed, referrals to appropriate AAC specialists and resources can be provided.
Speech-Language Evaluations
Evaluations help identify communication strengths, areas of need, and appropriate recommendations for intervention.
Depending on individual concerns, assessments may examine speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, and other relevant communication skills.
Evaluation results are used to develop individualized treatment goals and determine appropriate services.
